moonlight box

this is from a series of beds enclosed in tiny boxes: this one is unstable, yet playful. without rest, we cannot be creative. we are bound to our beds, vulnerable because of this need. how has this world driven rest from us, and made it inaccesible?

You can see this box, and several others, at the Virginia Fall Foliage Festival, October 13 & 14, 2007. please visit http://www.vafallfoliagefestart.org/home.htm for more information about this event. thanks, leslie

Thought I'd share a detail image of a large landscape painting - it's nearly 3ft x 4 ft, so a fullimage doesn't do it justice. There's some fun, thick paint gooped on top of some german text - beautiful in its own right. Hope you enjoy both the close-up and the entire piece. available for sale at The Barn Swallow (located West of Charlottesville, VA) - their site:

Tiny Landscape

This painting started with a collaged bit of French text. Being able to see that leaves the piece ethereal and atmospheric. A gem of a painting.

mixed media on canvas. 4x6 $125
